Description

The United We Lead Foundation (UWLF) is seeking energetic, dependable, and
student-centered Part-Time After School Enrichment Instructors to join our Future
Ready Explorers team serving Fresno Unified School District middle schools.
Future Ready Explorers is an engaging College & Career Readiness enrichment
program designed for students in grades 6–8 during the Fresno Unified Expanded
Learning After School Program. Through project-based learning, leadership
development, career exploration, financial literacy, and goal-setting activities, instructors
will inspire students to explore future opportunities while developing essential life skills.
This is an in-person position working directly at Fresno Unified School District
campuses during after-school hours. Instructors will collaborate with UWLF staff and
Fresno Unified Expanded Learning Coordinators to deliver high-quality enrichment
programming aligned with district expectations and student success outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate engaging 50-minute enrichment lessons for middle school students
    during the After School Program enrichment rotation.
    ● Deliver hands-on, project-based learning activities focused on:
    ○ College awareness and postsecondary pathways
    ○ Career exploration and career interest inventories
    ○ Leadership development
    ○ Teamwork and communication
    ○ Goal setting and growth mindset
    ○ Financial literacy
    ○ High school readiness
    ● Guide students through career exploration labs, vision board projects, reflection
    journals, leadership challenges, and future planning activities.
    ● Foster a positive, safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.● Encourage active student participation while promoting collaboration,
    problem-solving, and self-confidence.
    ● Administer student surveys, career interest inventories, attendance records, and
    other required program documentation.
    ● Monitor student behavior while following Fresno Unified and UWLF safety
    protocols.
    ● Communicate regularly with site administrators, Expanded Learning
    Coordinators, and UWLF supervisors.
    ● Participate in required staff meetings, professional development, and
    instructional coaching sessions.
    ● Maintain accurate lesson documentation and student participation records.
    ● Perform other duties as assigned in support of UWLF's mission.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    ● Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Liberal Studies, Child
    Development, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
    preferred.
    ● Experience working with youth in educational, after-school, tutoring, mentoring,
    recreation, or camp settings preferred.
    ● Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
    ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    ● Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
    ● Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff and
    UWLF leadership.
    ● Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
    ● Experience facilitating project-based learning or enrichment programming is a
    plus.
    ● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace preferred.Physical Requirements
    This position requires working on school campuses while actively supervising and
    engaging students. The employee must be able to:
    ● Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout classrooms and outdoor activity
    areas.
    ● Lift and carry instructional materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
    ● Operate computers, projectors, and classroom technology.
    ● Participate in indoor and outdoor student activities throughout the school day.

    Licenses & Requirements
    ● Valid California Driver's License preferred.
    ● Reliable transportation.
    ● Successful completion of DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance.
    ● TB clearance prior to employment.
    ● Ability to meet Fresno Unified School District contractor requirements.
    ● Must maintain reliable attendance and commit to the full academic year.
